Agrate Brianza

Agrate Brianza is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 15,035 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the province of Monza and Brianza in Lombardy. The community is located about 6.5 kilometers east of Monza and about 17 km northeast of Milan. The municipality borders the province of Milan. Near Agrate is the 40,000 -square-foot Lake La Vasca Vollano.

Agrate Brianza is located in the northeastern quadrant of the motorway junction between the Autostrada 51 ( the Eastern ring road of Milan) and the Autostrada A4 (Turin -Trieste ). The convenient location has to settle some IT companies out (including STMicroelectronics ).
