Águeda (river)

The Agueda is a left tributary of the Duero and about 133 km long. It rises near the community Navasfrías in the province of Salamanca. First, its course leads to the northeast to the town of Ciudad Rodrigo. From there, it flows northwards through mostly uninhabited area and finally ends at Barca d' Alva in the Duero. The last 22 km of the Agueda forms the border between Portugal and Spain.
