The Asian Highway 12 (English for Asia - highway 12 ') is a range of Asian highways project with a total length of 1,195 km.

Similarly, European Routes existing routes are also equipped with the label " AH12 ". The participating States have committed themselves to raise the standard of development of transnational roads.

The highway leads from Nateuy, Laos ( AH3 ) to Muang Xay, Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng, Vientiane ( AH12 ), Nong Khai, Udon Thani, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Saraburi, up to Hin Kong (District of Nong Khae ), Saraburi ( province ) ( Thailand) ( AH1 ).

Since April 8, 1994, this north-south route of the Asian Highway, AH -12, fully completed and financed independently by the countries of Laos and Thailand. Except for the associated first Thai - Lao Friendship bridge was provided as development assistance from the Australian government 30 million dollars.
