Ahmed Akaïchi

Ahmed Akaichi (* 23 February 1989 in Bizerte ) is a Tunisian football player.

Career

In youth Ahmed Akaichi played with his hometown club Club Athlétique Bizertin with a two-year interlude in the capital of Club Africain Tunis. After that he went to Sousse and joined the first division and former champion Étoile Sportive du Sahel. There he was within a short time top striker, scored in the 2009/10 season eleven goals in 20 games and finished with fourteen goals in 23 games the following year scorer.

His success quickly earned him the appointment to the Tunisian national team. His first major tournament was the African Cup of Nations 2010, when he was deployed twice.

By the end of 2010, Fortuna Dusseldorf interested for the storm talent, but a commitment did not materialize. At the beginning of the second division season 2011/ 12 then demand had the FC Ingolstadt 04 after no goal is scored in the opening attack and ordered the third Round the Tunisians. Although the transfer fee for Akaichi has not been officially announced, it should have been at least 500,000 euros, so this has been the most expensive commitment the club's history for the Schanzer.

Akaichi changed in January 2013 after Tunisia Espérance Sportive de Tunis.
