To the Championnat de Tunisie ( German: Tunisian Cup) play the 14 clubs in the highest soccer league in Tunisia, currently called National A. Is led the league by the Tunisian Football Federation. There are a total of 26 game days (outbound and return legs ).

1907, the first championship was played in Tunisia. Three teams (Racing Club de Tunis, Football club de Bizerte and Sporting de Ferry -Ville ) as well as two school teams ( From the Lycée Carnot and the Collège Sadiki ) participated. In 1921, the first Tunisian League was created.

  • Top scorer in one season is Abdelmajid Tlemçani, who scored 32 goals 1958/59 for Espérance Sportive de Tunis. His son Zied Tlemçani was 1997/98 self scorer, but he ranged with 15 goals scored less than half of the title.
