Ahmed Shobair

Ahmed Shobair (Arabic أحمد شوبير, DMG Aḥmad Šubayr, born September 28, 1960) is a former Egyptian football goalkeeper.

During his active career Shobair played for the club Al Ahly Cairo with which he and the Egyptian Cup five times won the Egyptian Cup seven times. Shobair participated with the national team at the 1990 World Cup in Italy, in which he played three games.

He is currently a vice president of the Egyptian Football Association and host of a weekly sports show on Egyptian television.

He was represented as a member of the then ruling National Democratic Party some time in the Egyptian parliament.
