Akkalkot ( Marathi: अक्कलकोट, Akkalkot ) is a town with about 38,000 inhabitants in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is situated in Solapur district, 40 km south of the district capital, Solapur, on the border of Karnataka state.

Akkalkot was the capital of the former princely state Akalkot.
