Alain Paul Lebeaupin

Alain Paul Charles Lebeaupin ( born March 2, 1945 in Paris, France) is a Roman Catholic Archbishop and Vatican Diplomat.

Life

Alain Lebeaupin received on 28 June 1975 the Bishop of Nice, Jean Mouisset, the sacrament of Holy Orders and was incardinated in the clergy of the diocese of Nice. In 1979 he entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See.

On 7 December 1998, he was named John Paul II, Titular Archbishop of Vico Equense and Apostolic Nuncio in Ecuador. The episcopal ordination, he donated him on 6 January 1999 in St. Peter's Basilica; Co-consecrators were the Curia Archbishops Giovanni Battista Re and Francesco Monte Risi. On 14 January 2005, Alain Lebeaupin Apostolic Nuncio to Kenya and Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations Office in Nairobi. Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on 23 June 2012 as the Apostolic Nuncio to the European Union.
