Alando, Haute-Corse

Alando, Corsican Alandu, is a commune with 28 inhabitants (1 January 2011 ) in the Haute- Corse in Corsica.

Geography

The small community is located in the Alando Castagniccia, a mountain landscape in the north- east of the island of Corsica, 46 kilometers southwest of Bastia and twelve kilometers east of Corte. The place consists of only a little more than a dozen houses that line up along an altitude of over 700 meters in altitude ridge road. The ridge separates the valleys of the mountain streams Ruisseau d' Onago and Ruisseau de Pasquale.

Neighboring communities of Alando are Bustanico in the north, Alzi in the east, Sant'Andréa -di- Bozia in the south, southwest, and Sermano Favalello in the west.
