Alastair Forsyth

Alastair Forsyth ( born February 5, 1976 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish professional golfer on the European Tour.

Career

As an amateur he won the 1996 Scottish Amateur Stroke Play Championship and in 1998 professional golfer.

Forsyth first started on the third power level and won the 1999 MasterCard Tour Order of Merit and the regional money list in Scotland. In the autumn of the same year he won 1st place in the Tour School in San Roque and qualified for the 2000 season on the European Tour. At the end of the season he found himself on the impressive 46th place in the annual ranking and missed the award, " Rookie of the Year " narrowly against Ian Poulter. After an average year in 2001, Forsyth took his first Tour victory in 2002, the Malaysian Open after a play-off with Australian Stephen Leaney. Although the 2003 season was not won, but by good results he could be best ever ranking on the European Tour Order of Merit, with a 19th place, fix. With consistently good game since he considers himself easily on the major European tournament series.

Forsyth played for Scotland several times in the World Cup.

He is an avid supporter of Glasgow Rangers.
