Albania national basketball team
The Albanian national basketball team represents Albania at international basketball games of the men, such as in international tournaments and friendly matches.
So far the team failed to qualify for the Olympic Games or World Championships themselves. At the European Championships, it took part twice.
History
The basketball in Albania also developed due only slowly through the Second World War. In 1946, the Federata Shqiptare e Basketbollit founded as the National Basketball Association. A year later, the country acceded to FIBA. This year, the Albanian national team also launched first in a European Championship, in which one every six preliminary round matches lost and was eliminated. In the second part in 1957, they lost all the games again. Consequently, Albania still played several qualifying rounds, but where you could not qualify for a final round.
