Gibraltar national basketball team

The national basketball team represents Gibraltar Gibraltar in international basketball matches of the men, such as in international tournaments and friendly matches.

So far the team failed to qualify for the Olympic Games, World Championships or European Championships themselves.

History

The national basketball team of Gibraltar since 1985, a member of FIBA Europe and took part so far exclusively in competitions, which were introduced for small states. In the FIBA European Championships for small countries, the team took part in the previous 13 times. The best placement was reached the fourth place in 1998.

In addition, the basketball team is also participating in the Games Iceland, where in the previous six appearances with the bronze medal in 2001, the best result was obtained.
