Albert J. Welti

Jacob Albert Welti ( born October 11, 1894 in Zurich - Hoengg; † 5 December 1965 Amriswil ) was a Swiss writer and painter.

Life

As the son of the painter Albert Welti Albert Welti Jacob was trained as an artist. He studied at the art academies of Dusseldorf, Munich, London and Madrid. At a young age he lost both parents in a wide Munich 1911 until his mother, his father died in 1912 in Bern. A severe case of typhoid in the Balearic Islands at the beginning of the twenties was the turning point from painting to writing.

Back in Switzerland, he chose Conches in Geneva at his workplace. Maroto and his king, a historical drama, created (1922 ), then Servetus in Geneva ( 1930). At the 1939 National Exhibition in Zurich dialect drama Steibruch was extremely successful premiere and later made ​​into a movie. It was not until almost fifty years appeared Albert J.
