Albin Chalandon

Albin Chalandon ( born June 11, 1920 in Reyrieux, Department of Ain ) is a French politician.

In the cabinet Chaban -Delmas, he was on 20 June 1969 to July 5, 1972 Minister of Equipment and Minister for Housing. As the successor to Michel Crépeau he was on 20 March 1986 to May 11, 1988 Minister of Justice of France. He was succeeded in this office Pierre Arpaillange. From 1967 to 1968 he was a member of the conservative Union pour la Nouvelle République from 1968 to 1976 he was a member of the renamed party Union pour la Ve République of Démocrates. From 1986 to 1988 he was a member of the Rassemblement pour la République.
