Albrechtice nad Vltavou

Albrechtice nad Vltavou ( German Albrechtitz ) is in the field of Písecké Hory ( Písecké Mountains ) on the Vltava River about twelve kilometers south-east of Pisek (Czech Republic).

History

The original city of the 12th century was destroyed in the Thirty Years' War and developed itself into a larger village.

Since 1384 can prove the existence of a parish priest.

With the establishment of the parish church was Nezdaschow the Albrechticer 1752 downgraded to a branch church and to using it. In 1786 a local church was established in Albrechtice.

In 1840 Albrechtitz consisted of 81 houses and 61 inhabitants. In place existed among stately patronage a local church, Lokalistenwohnung and school; there was also a gamekeeper's house and a tavern and a mill below the village. Eingepfart were hladna ( hladna ) Audraž ( Údraž ) and the monolayer Reyzykow ( Rejsíkov ). Until the mid-19th century Albrechtitz always remained subservient to the estate Nezdaschow.

Attractions

  • Romanesque church of St. Peter and Paul ( 1190 ). The present appearance owes the baroque reconstruction in the 18th century. Were preserved original Romanesque paintings. In the church, the grave of the knight Johann Bohuslaw Audřitzky of Kestřan is on Audraž († 1610)
  • 108 chapels in the cemetery with paintings by local artists and poems by folk artists from the 19th century.
