Alexander Stepanovich Yakovlev
Alexander Stepanovich Yakovlev (Russian Александр Степанович Яковлев; * 23 Novemberjul / December 5 1886greg in Volsk, .. † April 11, 1953 in Moscow) was a Russian- Soviet writer.
Alexander Yakovlev comes from the family of a master painter. He first worked as a postal clerk and entered the 1905 Maxima lists in. Yakovlev studied for two years at the faculty of the University of Saint Petersburg historical- philosophical. From 1914 to 1918 Yakovlev took part in the First World War. After interim stay in a prison in Grozny Yakovlev worked for the newspaper the morning of the South ( Утро Юга ). He then worked for the Moscow newspapers morning of Russia ( Утро России ) and power of the people ( Власти народа ).
From 1920 he devoted himself to writing fiction. Here he focused on a broad range of topics, in addition to contemporary historical accounts of the Russian Revolution (eg Powolniki 1922) also included children's literature.
