Alexandria Governorate
Al- Iskandariyya (Arabic محافظة الإسكندرية Muhafazat al - Iskandariyya, DMG Muhafazat al - Iskandariyya, also Alexandria ) is a governorate in Egypt with 4,110,015 inhabitants and is located on the Mediterranean. It is adjacent to Cairo ( القاهرة - al - Qāhira ) and Giza ( الجيزة - al - Ǧīza ) one of the three Stadtgouvernements the country.
It is bordered to the north by the Mediterranean, on the east by the province al - Buhaira and to the west by the province Matruh.
