Alexandru Ene

Alexandru Ene ( born September 19, 1928 in Brăila, Brăila county; † 22 May 2011 Bucharest ) was a Romanian football player. In order to avoid confusion with his surname cousin Gheorghe Ene, he was led into the Romanian sports press as I Ene.

Career

Ene began his football career in 1941 with Olimpia Bucharest. In 1947 he moved to Metalochimic Bucharest, who renamed in 1949 in Metalul Bucharest. At the age of 19 years Ene debuted on August 22, 1948 in the Divizia A in the defeat against CFR Timişoara. 1951 he moved to Dinamo Bucharest, for which he, in which Ene for Dinamo Orasul Stalin played with the exception of the preliminary round of the season in 1953, until his career end of 1960 was active. During this time he won a Romanian league title, was once Cup Winners' Cup and was top scorer in the 1954 season Divizia A. Ene came to a total of 179 Championship games in which he scored 105 goals. In addition, he played in the season 1956/57, 4 games for Dinamo in European Champions Cup and it scored a goal.

After his playing career, he worked primarily on in his career as an economist and was in the period from 1971 to 1973 vice-president of Dinamo Bucharest. 2008 worsened Enes health and thanks to the financial support of Nicolae Badea, president of Dinamo Bucharest, an amputation of his left leg was surgically prevented. In May 2011, Ene died at the age of 82 years.

Ene played a total of 11 games for the Romanian national football team, scoring 5 goals. He made his debut on June 28, 1953 against Bulgaria.
