Alexandru Tudor

Alexandru Dan Tudor (* September 13, 1971 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian football referee.

Tudor is FIFA referee since 2001. In that year he whistled among others in the U-16 European Championship in England and at the U -17 World Cup in Trinidad and Tobago. One of his first jobs in an international club competition was on 1 July 2001, the second-round match in the UEFA Intertoto Cup between TSV 1860 Munich and FK Smederevo in Augsburg. After various assignments in the Champions League qualifiers and the UEFA Cup - including the 0-0 between Alemannia Aachen and FH Hafnarfjörður 2004 - he led the 2004/ 05 against four qualifiers for the 2006 World Cup, including the 6-0 win in Switzerland the Faroese selection and 5:1 Russia against Luxembourg. After only a few uses in 2006, he was again in 2007 mainly in the UEFA Cup works, in which he led the 0-1 defeat of the 1st FC Nuremberg at Benfica among others.

In the 2008 /09 season he was the Impartial World Cup qualifier between Ireland and Cyprus. In the Champions League he refereed the 1-1 draw in the group stage match between FC Barcelona and FC Basel. On 27 November 2008, he was the referee 0-2 defeat of FC Schalke 04 in the UEFA Cup against Manchester City in Gelsenkirchen. In the Europa League 2009/10 he conducted the match of VfL Wolfsburg against Villarreal CF, which ended 4-1.

Tudor is known that he wants to get along as possible with as little yellow or red cards. In 50 international missions he has eleven players shown the red and 190 times the yellow card.
