Alexei Markov

Alexei Mikhailovich Markov (Russian: Алексей Михайлович Марков; born May 26, 1979 in Moscow ) is a Russian cyclist.

Markov was a professional cyclist in 2001. His first success he gained in 2004 the Normandy tour for his team CCC Polsat -. In 2005 he moved to the then Portuguese-Spanish team Milaneza - Maia. There, he won several stages in Portuguese stage race. Among other things, in the Algarve tour and the Grande Prémio Correios de Portugal. In 2006 and 2007 he drove for the Spanish ProTour team Caisse d' Epargne - Illes Balears and 2008 at the Russian team Katusha Continental team.
