Alfred Bauer Prize

The Alfred Bauer Award is a film award, which is awarded at the Berlinale in 1987. He was named after the first director of the festival Alfred Bauer.

In Bauer's death in 1986, the Alfred Bauer Prize of the new perspectives of film art was donated by the film festival, which has been awarded since 1987 during the Berlin Film Festival for a feature film in competition program opens.
