Alfredo di Stéfano The Estadio is located in the Spanish capital Madrid football stadium. The venue is part of the sports complex Ciudad Real Madrid in the northeast of the capital, in the new district Valdebebas in the district Barajas, near Madrid-Barajas Airport and the IFEMA Exhibition Centre.

The stadium is Real Madrid Castilla, the second team of the football club Real Madrid, as a home and is named in honor of former footballer Alfredo Di Stéfano.

History

The old " Ciudad Deportiva " ( Sports City ) of the football club Real Madrid, which was sold in 2001 to pay off debt for approximately € 480 million, was also home to the competition venue for the second team. When the stadium had to give way to the construction site of the Cuatro Torres Business Area in 2003, the club decided to build a new stadium for Real Madrid Castilla. This was in the new Ciudad Real Madrid (English: City Real Madrid) officially opened on 9 May 2006 as part of a friendly match between Real Madrid and Stade Reims, a meeting at the same time the 50 -year anniversary of the first European Cup final between these two imaginary teams. The match ends 6-1 for the home team first goal scorer of the new stadium was Sergio Ramos.

In 2012, new spectator stands were erected behind the two doors, thus increasing the capacity increased to around 8,400.
