Estadio Anxo Carro

The Estadio Anxo Carro ( Galician: Estadio Anxo Carro, Castilian Estadio Angel Carro ) is a football stadium in the city of Lugo. It serves the Club CD Lugo as homestead.

History

The stadium was opened on 31 August 1974, a tournament between the home team and Deportivo La Coruña and Club Lemos. Located on the east bank of the Rio Miño pitch and replaced a 1934 -built stadium of the same name ( 1934-1960 still Estadio de Los Miñones ) and offered in his opening around 8,000 spectators place. In 1986, the East stand was renovated and roofed. For the first ascent of CD Lugo in the Segunda División in 1992, a covered spectator Rank was on the former natural grandstand on the north side of the venue built. After a further comprehensive reform in 2001, in which all stands were provided with seats, the capacity of Estadio Anxo Carro decreased to 4,785 visitors.
