CD Lugo
The Club Deportivo Lugo is a Spanish football club from the city of Lugo, Galicia. The club was founded in 1953 playing in the 2012/13 season in the Segunda División.
History
The CD Lugo was founded in June 1953 by the merger of the two competing teams ' Gimnástica Lucense ", which played in the Segunda División and was subsequently dissolved, as the failure by financial problems " Club Deportivo Polvorín ".
Now the only second division season of 1953 combined clubs was the game from 1992 /93. As a Third to last the Galicians had to play the same in their first season the way back to the Segunda División B.
After descending to Lugo became a lift club between Segunda División B and Tercera División. In the 2011/12 season the club managed after 19 years to return to the Segunda División.
Stadium
CD Lugo plays in Anxo Carro, which has a capacity of 4,800 spectators. The stadium opened in a tournament between the host CD Lugo and the Galician rivals Deportivo La Coruña and CD Lemos on August 31, 1974.
