Algés River

The Ribeira de Algés is a small stream in the region of Lisbon. It rises at Buraca ( county Amadora ) and flows in a southwesterly direction Algés, where it flows into the Tagus.

It runs above ground near the source. In particular, in the city of Algés a large portion of the stream was overbuilt because of the expansion of the settlement area.
