Ali Al Jallawi

Ali al - Dschalawi (Arabic علي الجلاوي ʿ Alī al - Dschalāwī, ʿ Alī al - DMG Ǧalāwī; * 1975 in Manama, Bahrain ) is a Bahraini poet. His passion for poetry discovered al - Dschalawi at the age of fourteen. His early works were influenced by his revolutionary and political convictions, for which he was arrested at the age of seventeen, after he criticized the political regime in Bahrain in one of his poems. In 1995 he was again arrested and jailed for three years.

During his detention dedicated Ali al - Dschalawi philosophy a lot of time and taught himself in broad knowledge. His radical religious and political beliefs differed and evolved into intellectual openness. Furthermore, seeks al - Dschalawi for a new and fair political system for Bahrain.

His present- poetic works deal with human and humanistic aspects. Particularly well-known Ali al- Dschalawi is for his poem entitled Dilmuniyyat. Currently al - Dschalawi lives in Manama, where he runs a research center next to the poetic in addition to writing works that the unobserved part of the government of Bahrain ethnic minorities in Bahrain dedicated.
