Ali Al-Naimi

Ali Al- Naimi ( born 1935; Arabic علي بن إبراهيم النعيمي, ʿ Alī b Ibrāhīm to DMG -Na ʿ imi. ) Is a Saudi Arabian businessman, politician and Minister of Petroleum.

Life

After leaving school, Al- Naimi studied in the United States at Lehigh University, Pennsylvania. He will then go to Stanford University, California, where he studied geology and reached his master.

After studying the end of Al- Naimi received in 1947 a position in the company Saudi Aramco. In the following decades he rose to within the management of the company. 1980 Al- Naimi was elected to the Board of Directors of Saudi Aramco, whose president he finally was in 1983; Al- Naimi was the first -born man from Saudi Arabia, who led the company Saudi Aramco.

In addition to his management of the company Saudi Aramco Al- Naimi 1995 was appointed Minister of Petroleum of the Government of Saudi Arabia. This important ministerial position in Saudi Arabia, Al - Naimi held until today.
