Ali Aujali

Ali Suleiman Audschali (Arabic علي الأوجلي, ʿ Alī al - DMG Auǧalī, also Ojli; * 1944 in Benghazi ) is a Libyan diplomat and on 2 November 2012, the Foreign Minister of his country.

Audschali began his diplomatic career in 1971 when he secretary at the Libyan Embassy in London was third. In 1976 he was first secretary at the Libyan embassy in Malaysia. 1981 he was appointed Libyan ambassador to Malaysia. In 1984 he was the Libyan ambassador to Argentina. Following Audschali was 1988-1994 Ambassador to Brazil. Audschali now returned to Libya and was active in the Foreign Ministry. From 1994 to 1998 he served as Deputy Director General of the Americas Department. He then worked from 1998 to 2000 as Director General of the Americas division and was finally from 2000 to 2001 Director General of the Department of European Affairs.

In 2001, he was re- posting as a diplomat. From 2001 to 2004 he was chargé d'affaires at the Libyan Embassy in Canada. During this time, he founded the Libya -Canada Business Council. Then headed Audschali from 2004, the Libyan advocacy ( Libyan Interests Section) in Washington, DC. As this was upgraded to an embassy in 2009, Audschali was born on 6 January 2009, the first Libyan ambassador to the United States since the resumption of diplomatic relations. In February 2011 he joined after he had previously distanced themselves from the government in protest against state violence in the wake of the uprising in Libya from his ambassadorship.

Also, some of his colleagues, including in India ( Ali al - Essawi ) and Germany ( Jamal Ali, Omar ), resigned. Libya's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Abdelrahman Schalgam, a friend Audschalis, also turned away from Gaddafi.
