Alte Hessel

The Old Hessel is a 9.5 km long left tributary of Hessel on the territory of the North Rhine -Westphalian district of Gütersloh.

It arises as the left branch of Hessel in the field of city Borgholzhausen, then for a few hundred meters forms the boundary between first Borgholzhausen and Versmold, then between Halle (Westfalen ) and Versmold.

In the nature reserve Versmolder fraction southwest of Versmold it flows the Hessel again.
