Alvik metro station

Alvik is an aboveground station Stockholm subway. It is located in the district Västerort, right next to the highway Drottningholmsvägen. The station is owned by the Gröna linjen the Stockholm subway system and served by the light rail similar Nockebybanan and Tvärbanan. It is linjen terminus of the line T18 of Gröna. This makes the station to one of the busiest stations of the metro network. On a normal working day rise here and around 27,000 commuters, of which 16,000 relate to the subway, 9,000 on the two light rail and 2,000 on the bus. The interchange with Nockebybanan is right at the stop, the Tvärbanan has its stop at the western exit of the station.

The station was taken on October 26, 1952, in operation, when the metro section Hötorget Vällingby was inaugurated. The two platforms with two tracks located above ground. The station is located between the stations Kristine Berg and Stora mossen. Stockholm Central Station is only 4.5 km.
