Alyssa Lagonia

Alyssa Ann Lagonia (born 30 June 1989 in Kitchener, Ontario ) is an Italian- Canadian soccer player.

Career

Lagonia started her career on the Grand River Renegades, the Athletic Team of the Grand River Collegiate Institute, where she studied for three years business. In her time at university Wilfrid Laurier University, she played for the Women soccer team at the University of the Golden Hawks and the 2008 and 2009 summer season of the W-League Toronto Lady Lynx. The 2010 season and 2011 she played during college time for the Ottawa Fury. In the 2011 season she was named the Canadian University Player Of The Year.

The midfielder joined on March 10, 2012 for the English FA WSL club Doncaster Rovers Belles. After only a year, she left England and moved to the land of their ancestors, Italy. There she wrote on January 25, 2013 in Verona with ASD CF Bardolino.

National

Lagonia is an international player for the Canadian national soccer team of women and gave her senior international debut in March 2009 against New Zealand under the Cyprus Cup. Previously, she ran in six games for the U -20 Canada, scoring three goals.

Coaching career

In May 2009, she trained for a short time boys and girls in the D- adolescence of South Huron Soccer Club in Exeter.

Private

Since 2011 she is a senior instructor at the Canadian in Kitchener, Ontario -based sports agency Elite Athletes.
