Amir Ghalenoei
Ardashir Ghalenoei ( born July 9, 1964 in Tehran ) is a former Iranian football player and current coach. He is currently head coach of Esteghlal Tehran.
Career as a coach
In the season 2005/ 06 he led the Iranian club Esteghlal Tehran, for which he had once played for the championship in the Iranian Pro League. On 17 July 2007 he was national coach of the Iranian national team as the successor of Branko Ivankovic Croats. After the quarter-finals in 2007 Asiencup Ghalenoei resigned as coach.
After negotiations with the Uzbek champions FC Pakhtakor Tashkent he signed on 1 January 2008 a contract with Iranian club Mes Kerman. In 2008 he returned to Esteghal and repeated his success in 2006. Joining to Sepahan Isfahan, he was with the club twice in a row champion.
