AMS-LaTeX

AMS- LaTeX (proper spelling: ) is a collection of macro packages for LaTeX.

The American Mathematical Society's AMS- LaTeX was originally developed for the authors, published by her journal. The use of these macros but has spread widely over the years beyond. They are also used by many other disciplines who need mathematics as an auxiliary science - especially physics. The individual packages are extensions especially for the set of formulas. AMS- LaTeX is the continuation of AMS- TeX which supports the typesetting in plain TeX.

Amsrefs package

The expansion pack amsrefs used for largely automatic creation of a bibliography, which does not rely on BibTeX (). It is intended to avoid some of the disadvantages BibTeX, the database itself can be set as a TeX document and output. amsrefs can read. bib files used by BibTeX.
