Ananda Mikola

Ananda Mikola (* April 27, 1980 in Jakarta ) is a former Indonesian racing driver. It was in 2005 Asian Formula 3 champion. From 2005 to 2007 he raced in the A1 Grand Prix. He is the older brother of the racer Moreno Soeprapto.

Career

Mikola began his motorsport career in Indonesian racing series. He was active in karting in 1994 and 1994 and 1995 champion of the Indonesian group N. In 1996, Mikola into formula racing and became an instant champion of the Formula Asia. In addition, he took part in a race in Europe the Italian Formula 3 Championship. In 1997, Mikola completely to Europe and started for Cevenini Junior in the Italian Formula 3 He was tenth overall. In 1998 he went to the Italian Formula 3 Championship for RC Motorsport at the start. He scored three podium finishes and ended the season in fifth place overall.

In 1999, Mikola to Edenbridge Racing in the Italian Formula 3000 Championship. He scored a pole position and finished the season on top of the 13 championship course. 2000 Mikola received a cockpit at the World Racing team in the International Formula 3000 Championship. He had no points and failed in three races in the qualification. In the drivers' standings, he was Mikola 31, 2001 began the Formula 3000 season for the team Astro Mega. After three races, he was to have made no points replaced by Dino Morelli. At the end of the season Mikola was on the 34th place. After a year's break came in 2003 Mikola in the World Series Light for RC Motorsport. With a second place as the best individual result he finished seventh in the drivers' standings.

Mikola 2004 returned back to Asia, and started two years in the Asian Formula 3 Championship. In his first season he took up to four races and won three of them. In the drivers' standings, he was on the seventh place. In 2005 he won half of the race and finished ahead of John O'Hara Asian Formula 3 champion.

In winter 2005/2006 Mikola joined the newly formed A1 Grand Prix for the Indonesian team. A fifth place in Shanghai was his best result. His team was at the end on the 18th place in the team standings. In the subsequent summer Mikola launched in the Asian Formula Renault V6. He won two races and finished third in the championship. In the A1GP 2006/2007 season Mikola was at ten of the eleven events as a driver in use. A tenth place was his best result and the team finished the season off in 21st place. On the last weekend he was represented by his younger brother Moreno Soeprapto. In the subsequent season Mikola took part in a meeting of the Euro Series 3000, of the former Italian Formula 3000 Championship for G -Tec. He scored a podium placement with a third place as best result. In the overall standings, he was 15

Mikola 2008 joined the newly founded Speedcar Series, was driven in with uniform silhouette vehicles. A third place in his home race at the Sentul International Circuit was his best result. By season's end he was in eighth place. In 2009, Mikola part in two races of the Asian Porsche Carrera Cup.

Since 2010, Mikola has been more active in any racing series.
