André Isoir

André Isoir ( born July 20, 1935 in Saint- Dizier ) is a French organist.

Isoir received organ lessons with Édouard Souberbielle and piano with Germaine Mounier at the Ecole César Franck. At the Conservatoire de Paris, he was a student of Rolande Falcinelli and won the 1960 first prize in organ and improvisation. He won several international organ competitions: 1965 in St Albans, in the following three years, the Prix du Challenge in Haarlem. For his recordings, he received several record prices in the 1970s and 1980s. In 1974 he was awarded the Composition Prize of the Amis de l' Orgue for his Variations on a Huguenot Psalm.

Particularly noteworthy is considered his recording of works by César Franck at the Organ of the Cathedral of Luçon.
