Andrei Mikhalev

Andrej Aljaksandrawitsch Michaljou (White Russian Андрэй Аляксандравіч Міхалёў, Russian Андрей Александрович Михалёв / Andrei Alexandrovich Michaljow; born February 23, 1978 in Minsk, Byelorussian SSR) is a Belarusian professional ice hockey player who was suspended initially in March 2013 because of a doping offense and has been banned in May 2013.

Career

Andrej Michaljou began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth of HK Junost Minsk, for its first team he was active from 1995 to 1999 in the East European Hockey League, where he additionally for the Chicoutimi Sagueneens from in the season 1996 /97 Canadian top junior league QMJHL and the Nashville Nighthawks from the Central Hockey League was on the ice. He then moved to Herner EV in the Oberliga Nord, but he already left after just one year. Once the attacker had started the season 2000/ 01 at the Bayreuth Tigers in the Oberliga Süd, he finished it in their league rivals polar bears Regensburg, which he ascended to the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of the season, in which the White Russian for a year with Bayern played, before he returned to his homeland.

In the summer of 2002 Michaljou received a contract with HK Keramin Minsk. With the Brussels residents of the links Sagittarius 2003 and 2004 won the Eeast European Hockey League respectively. In addition, he was with Keramin in the 2007/ 08 season was the first time in his career Belarusian champions. He was then of their city rivals HK Dinamo Minsk of the newly formed Continental Hockey League obliged for it in the following season in 55 games total 23 points scorer, including 14 goals scored.

Internationally

For Michaljou Belarus took part in the junior level at the U18 European Junior Championships in 1995 and the U20 Junior C World Cup 1997. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the World Championships in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 and at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.

Doping with Methylhexaneamine 2013

During the Qualifkationsturniers for the 2014 Winter Olympics in February 2013 Michaljou was positively getest to the stimulant Methylhexaneamine and then beginning in March 2013 provisionally suspended. He then completed no more games before he was locked in late May of the same year for two years.
