Andrés Espinosa

Andrés Espinosa ( born February 4, 1963 in Monclova, Coahuila ) is a Mexican long-distance runner, who had his greatest success in the marathon.

1991 and 1992, he finished second at the New York City Marathon in 1993, he won just there. In 1994 he was second in the Boston Marathon in 2:07:19, still the fastest time ever run a Mexican, and until 2006 the second fastest time in Boston at all.

At the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995, he was ninth.

In Berlin Marathon 2003, he turned in fourth in 2:08:46 a world record for the age group M 40.

Twice he took part in the Olympic Games: The games in Sydney in 2000, he finished 27th place at the 2004 Games in Athens, he came on the 69th Place.
