1995 World Championships in Athletics
The 5th World Athletics Championships were held from August 5 to 13 in 1995 in the Swedish city of Gothenburg. The competitions were held at the Ullevi stadium. It was attended by 1804 athletes from 191 countries participate.
Three world records were set:
- The Briton Jonathan Edwards reached a width of 18.29 m in the triple jump.
- The Ukrainian Inessa Krawez reached a length of 15.50 m in the triple jump.
- The American Kim Batten put the 400 -meter hurdles in 52.61 s back.
