Juliet Cuthbert

Juliet Cuthbert ( born April 6, 1964 Saint Thomas Parish, Jamaica ) is a former Jamaican athlete, the 1992 and 1996 won Olympic medals.

Cuthbert attended Morant Bay High School. Then the Olney High School in Philadelphia and the University of Texas at Austin. Their disciplines were the 100 - and 200 -meter run.

At the 1991 World Championships, she won in the 4 x 100 -meter relay gold medal, 1995 and 1997 season in the same discipline in each case the silver medal after she won bronze in 1983.

The XXV. 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain, she won the silver medal behind the USA's Gail Devers ( gold) and before the starting of the United team of the CIS Russian Irina Anatoljewna Priwalowa ( Bronze) in the 100 -meter run. About 200 meters she also won the silver medal behind the US-American Gwen Torrence ( gold) and Merlene Ottey before the Jamaican (bronze). The XXVI. 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, she won the bronze medal 4 x 100 - meter relay along with teammates Michelle Freeman, Nikole Mitchell, and Merlene Ottey.

1992 Cuthbert was chosen to Jamaica Sportswoman of the Year.
