Anglet

Anglet ( French, Basque Angelu ) is a French town with 38 581 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Pyrénées- Atlantiques in the Aquitaine region. The city is located in the arrondissement of Bayonne and is the capital (French: chef- lieu) of the two cantons Anglet Anglet -Nord -Sud.

The city is located in the center of the city triangle " BAB " (Biarritz, Anglet, Bayonne ) on the Adour River and the Atlantic Ocean ( Bay of Biscay ). Biarritz Airport is located partly in the city of Anglet.

Twinning

Anglet has since 1968 a German twin town: the Central Franconian government capital Ansbach.
