Title list

Style

Animals as Leaders play on the album instrumental progressive metal, which is dominated by Abasis virtuosic and varied guitar playing. He covers " the bandwidth between undistorted, latin -like Saitengezupfe, lively, fast solos and brutal riffs almost completely " off. Occasionally, some keyboard effects, and the rhythms are complex programmed. Influences from Djent, space rock, jazz and electronic music are noticeable, there are comparisons to Meshuggah, Cynic, Pelican, Liquid Tension Experiment, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani drawn.

Reception

The album was recorded mostly positive from the press. Mike Borrink from Rock Hard verdict: " What it conjures Abasi on his seven or eight strings, is really fantastic, yet the album remains largely emotionless, though always well -pleasing tunes are interspersed. " Even with Kai Lorenz Kruppa of the Baby Blue Pages leaves the album therefore " mixed feelings ", but Nik Brückner praises: " Above all, it is the ubiquitous intelligence of the musicians involved, the one so excited when listening. Nothing is neglected at the expense of other elements: virtuosity has its place, but also melody and taste " The eclipsed magazine took Animals as Leaders on to its list of prog metal milestones..
