Anna Mjöll

Anna Mjöll Ólafsdóttir ( * 1970 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic jazz singer and composer.

Life and work

Anna Mjöll comes from a musical family. She learned piano, guitar and cello and studied music in Paris and Los Angeles. She was selected to represent Iceland in the Euro Vision Song Contest 1996 in Oslo. With the Jazzpop song Sjúbidú ( " Schubiduu " ), which she co-wrote with her father, she landed on 13th place

After the competition, she worked for several years as a background singer Julio Iglesias for. Several of her solo albums in jazz followed. She changed her residence to Los Angeles, where he also works as a singing teacher.
