Antarctic Place-names Commission

The Commission on Antarctic Geographic Names ( Bulgarian Komisija po antarktitscheskite naimenowanija Комисия по антарктическите наименования ) is a Bulgarian Commission for recommendation of names for parts of Antarctica. The Commission was established by the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute in 1994, she has been subject since 2001 the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry.

2011, there were 18,725 geographic names in Antarctica, including the 778 names that are assigned by Bulgaria. Descriptions of the Bulgarian Antarctic names (English Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica ) published in international toponymic lexicon of Antarctica, which is run by the International Scientific Committee for Antarctic Research.

The Commission prepared the first Bulgarian topographic map of Livingston Island and published them in 2005.
