António André

António André Ferreira dos Santos called António André ( born December 24, 1957 in Vila do Conde ) is a former Portuguese football player.

António André comes from a family of fishermen from Vila do Conde. He started his footballing career as a youth when his native club Rio Ave FC. In 1978 he received his first professional contract with Varzim SC. The 1.71 m wide defensive midfielder continued to work with his family in the fishing and brought it in six years at Varzim on 104 missions, where he scored 19 goals.
