António Nobre

António Nobre ( born August 16, 1867 in Porto, † March 18, 1900 in Carreira, Foz do Douro, Portugal) was a Portuguese poet of the late 19th century. He is considered one of the most important neo-romantic Portugal.

Life

Nobre came from a very wealthy family. He first studied law at Coimbra unsuccessfully in 1888 and then from 1890 to 1895 Political Sciences in Paris. He traveled to Switzerland and the United States. In 1900, he died of tuberculosis. His main work is the book of poems Só, which appeared in Paris in 1882.
