Ariadaeus (crater)

Ariadaeus is an impact crater on the Moon's front page on the western edge of the Sea of Tranquility, north of Dionysius and at the eastern end of the moon groove Rima Ariadaeus. The crater is bowl-shaped and hardly eroded.
The crater was founded in 1935 by the IAU by the Macedonian King Philip III. Arrhidaios officially named.
