History

  • General of Infantry Alexander Linsingen ( from 8 July 1915)
  • Major General Paul pride of man ( from 8 July 1915)
  • Colonel Emil Hell ( from 17 July 1916)
  • Lieutenant Colonel Keller ( from 7 December 1916)

To support the Austro- Hungarian forces on the Eastern Front, the beginning of 1915 German troops were ordered into the Hungarian Carpathians. The leadership of these troops was incumbent on the general command of the Second Army Corps, which was converted for this purpose on January 11, 1915 in a regular army high command called "South". Imputed troops were thus summarized as southern army. On July 8, 1915 there was a reorganization. The former army high command moved south, leaving the previously commanded troops to Lviv, where it took over the command of other organizations and was designated as an Army High Command bug or Bugarmee, after the river of the same bug. On September 20, 1915, the commander also took Infantry General Alexander Linsingen command of the Army Group Linsingen named after him. The Bugarmee was therefore divided into several " groups " and the army group commander under the direct authority. As the end of the war against Russia loomed, the Army Group and thus also the Bugarmee was disbanded on 23 January 1918 as the United Association.
