Arthur Kollmann

Arthur Kollmann (also: Artur Kollmann; born January 8, 1858 in Leipzig, † 1941) was a German urologist and puppetry researchers.

Life

Kollmann studied in Heidelberg and Leipzig. He received his doctorate in 1881 as MD and his habilitation in 1890, both in Leipzig. He then taught at the university, from 1901 as associate professor. Together with Felix Martin Oberlander, he developed " a rich toolbox for Striktursondierung, dilation of strictures, coagulation and urethrotomy international ".

Kollmann was also one of the most important puppet researchers and collectors. His collection originally came to the Leipzig Museum of Ethnology, 1971 but eventually went to the Dresden Dolls Theatre Collection.
