Arvada is a city in Jefferson County in the U.S. state of Colorado, United States, with 106 433 inhabitants ( 2010). The area of ​​the city is 85.1 km ².

The city dates back to gold discoveries in 1850. Since 1858 prospectors and shortly afterwards a farmer in the area is settled. In 1870 the railroad was built and Arvada, named after the brother of one of the settlers there was breakpoint.
