The Arys (Russian Арыс, Арысь ) is a right tributary of the Syr Darya in the Kazakhstan South Kazakhstan Province.

The Arys rises in the Talas Alatau. From there it flows in a predominantly westerly direction through a desert-like plain between the Qaratau the north and the Talas Alatau to the south. He takes on the tributaries Aksu, Maschat and Badam from left, as well as Boraldai from the right. In the same city Arys it turns northwest and flows after 378 km on the right side in the Syr Darya.
